The End is Near!
Dragonflight is coming!
All Good Things Come to an End
With the announcement of Dragonflight’s Release Date on November 28th, we all know what that means. Before long, we’ll find ourselves out, adventuring again, relearning our classes or taking on new roles. Now is a time of reflection, tying up loose ends, and looking forward towards the future.
In reflection, throughout Shadowlands Empirical has undergone a lot of changes and seen a lot of progress. We’ve made a lot of new friends, while seeing old friends move on to other things. We’ve increased our presence in PVP with regular PVP nights. We’ve experienced a change in leadership, and also increased our focus on building a fun, friendly community with our addition of community nights. Throughout the expansion we were able to successfully hold the #1 spot for raiding progress on the realm, and many of our members were in the top ranks of M+ runners.
I personally have noticed an increased cohesiveness and synergy among guild members over the course of this expansion. We have become a better team overall in so many different aspects. Empirical’s success is entirely due to the contributions and hard work of each and every member. Every one of you should be proud of what you’ve accomplished. In regards to tying up loose ends, the Winds of Wisdom experience buff returns October 4th and will last until the start of Dragonflight. This is the perfect opportunity to get any unleveled alts squared away before the new expansion. Additionally, if there is any additional shadowlands content that may require a group to do (like rare summons that require multiple people, etc.) please feel free to reach out to your guildies. There are likely several people who would be more than willing to lend a hand.
As for future considerations, we will be revisiting our raiding plan for Dragonflight and relaying it to the guild once an official plan is established.
As we are doing mythic this tier, there’s a few points to keep in mind if you are interested in joining us (some of you may have already seen these items listed in Discord):
Mythic/prog eligibility and information:
As we move towards the end of the expansion, we will be focusing our prog nights, Thursday and Monday, on mythic progression. Every other Tuesday evening will be a heroic re-clear. These heroic nights will be the nights that we use for logs in order to make the mythic team, which would run each Thursday and Monday. We will continue to use the same signup, but you will now be committing to four nights when you sign up. This would mean that our mythic team would be re-created every other week, instead of weekly. While we understand that that does leave a little less room for roster variability, here are our reasons for proposing/supporting this change:
- This allows us more time to progress on mythic content, which is crucial this tier, given that we’re in a different raid every single week.
- This maintains our ability to pull new logs frequently and still provides frequent opportunities for everyone to show their skills and improvement. Raiders will also still be welcome to submit logs to any officer should they pug and demonstrate improvement.
- This allows raiders looking to make the mythic team two full weeks to work on improvements, instead of the pressure of trying to force huge changes in a very short time. As always, please reach out for support from any leadership team member – even if we can’t help, we will find you someone who can.
- Finally, this maintains the traditional community nights at least twice a month, which we know have been a huge hit and wouldn’t want to sacrifice. In addition, heroic nights would be open to any guildie who is interested.
- As a reminder, we are asking those who wish to be considered for the Mythic roster to sign up by reacting with your intended role on the post that will be made in the raiding channel. This allows us to know who is available and intending on coming.
Community Nights
Going forward every other Tuesday evening (community night) will be a heroic re-clear. The opposite Tuesdays would remain open for voting and could be anything.
Community Events
Mark your calendars because Hallow’s End is coming and with it our very own guild Hallow’s End party! Join us on Friday October 28th at 8pm server time to participate in the festivities! Events will include a Transmog Costume Contest and Jackbox Games with prizes!
PvP Updates
Last Wednesday marked the end of our formal RBG season. I may be off by a bit (given my absence during a couple nights) we finished with a 15-9 record (62.5% win rate). We saw a lot of improvement and crushed several teams that out-geared us by a mile. Solid effort from our guild 🙌

- The enchants in highest demand are Chest – Eternal Stats, Ring – Tenet of Haste, and Ring – Tenet of Critical Strike
- Gems in highest demand are Quick Jewel Cluster and Masterful Jewel Cluster.
- Leather Cloth is currently the least used tab.
Here are a few requests to help keep the bank clean and tidy:
- Pets – If there are already 5 of one type of pet already in the bank, please do not add any more of that type into the bank.
- Old Outdated Materials – Please do not deposit old and outdated materials into the guild bank.
- The Guild Bank is Not a Trash Can – Please do not put useless junk in the bank. The bank does not exist so you can clean out your bags.
- Shrouded Cloth – Please use these! Our bank is stuffed full of them (3,306 of them to be exact)! Please hold off on adding more Shrouded Cloth to the bank until we are able to deplete our stores a bit.
- BAGS – As a result of the aforementioned cloth abundance, if anyone would like some Shrouded Cloth Bags (30 slot) please let me know and I will make you as many as you want. I will also be adding some bags into the Leather Cloth tab for anyone who wants them.
Thanks again to everyone who utilizes the bank! Your donations are always appreciated. Please remember that the bank is there as a resource for everyone, so don’t be shy if you need to source it for materials. If you have any special requests for items to stock, please let Korinth know.
