We Did It!
Fated didn’t stand a chance!
Season 4 – We started strong!
Great job everyone at hitting Season 4 at full speed! We managed to get through the Fated Rotation with ease, and even now have been able to clear normal in half of our scheduled raid time.
Furthermore, the enthusiasm, team work, and positive attitudes everyone has had has allowed us to maintain our momentum and continue forward to crush Mythic. A huge thanks to everyone!
As we are doing mythic this tier, there’s a few points to keep in mind if you are interested in joining us (some of you may have already seen these items listed in Discord):
Mythic/prog eligibility and information:
As we head into Season 4 and the introduction of Fated Raids, we will be focusing our prog nights, Thursday and Monday, on heroic and mythic progression. We will finish out this rotation with normal Sepulcher before returning to community night votes. There will be one more full rotation of normal raids towards the end of the tier to ensure everyone who wants a Slime Cat is able to achieve that. Requirements for raiding during Fated Raids:
- In order to be considered for the Mythic roster, you must sign up by reacting with your intended role on the post that will be made weekly in the raiding channel. This allows us to know who is available and intending on coming for that particular week.
- We’ve noticed some issues with some dps prioritizing their parse over mechanics. We need shots called to be carried out as directed. We look at both mechanics and parses when making decisions about the mythic roster.
- Returning players (players who haven’t raided with us for at least a month) and new members, as well as main swaps, will have to complete a two week period before being considered for mythic progression, or battling for mainspec rolls. All personal loot obtained by players falling into this category is theirs, and they will still be allowed to roll main with priority on anything going to offspec/transmog.
- Officers are availing themselves to anyone who wants help with their class, rotation, etc. If you feel you’re underperforming, reach out and let’s see if we can figure out why.
- One M15+ a week is required for mythic eligibility, and is strongly recommended for all raiders.
- We have updated the way that we are handling loot council to a more transparent and streamlined process.
Community Nights
- August 23rd – September 6: We will be doing normal reclears to finish the rotation of fated raids so that anyone who still needs kills for the slime cat can get it. Once we are done with the rotation we will be returning to a vote based system
- As we return to community nights, we will not take alt heroic off the table, but we must remember to continue to approach them with patience and realistic expectations. Alts are not as overpowered as mains and the clear may not be as quick. If heroic is chosen for community night, ilvl (about 278), tier, and legendary requirements will be required in order to maximize our ability to down bosses.
Community Events
- This month, we had yet another group of guildies acquire the Hivemind mount! Feel free to ask a friend for help if you’re interested in forming your own group – we would love to support you in getting one!
- We had our first unofficial guild alt night in Heroic Sanctum and were able to get 7/10H with a group of half pugs! We regrouped and got two more the following night! We are hopeful that in the future, there will be more guild-wide interest in alt runs of heroic and we can begin to full clear quickly with alts as well!
PvP Updates:
We have had some incredible RBG nights this month! RBGs will continue weekly, Wednesday nights at 8pm server. In order to facilitate smooth PvP nights, please be aware that there are gear requirements for RBGs, similar to raiding.
All RBG Players must have:
- Two PvP trinkets – these can be purchased with either honor or conquest and upgraded in Oribos. Honor can be gained through both ranked and unranked PvP, including Solo Shuffle and random BGs. Conquest is gained primarily through ranked PvP, but weekly quests also provide some for completing PvP activities, including unranked.
- 25% versatility is required to participate in guild RBGs. This serves two purposes – it makes the games more enjoyable for you (no one wants to be the called target every time) and it increases your survivability, allowing your team to enter fights on an even playing field.
Please feel free to reach out to DaveBob with any and all PvP questions or for support in choosing the correct gear!
